Thank you to all who came out to see me at the 2011 Destrehan Show. I have say that the grounds of this plantation are by far the prettiest place to spend two days. My tent was located in front of the plantation with a view of a very old oak tree dripping with windblown moss, a white picket fence, and the grass covered levee. Music was playing throughout the weekend in the distance with the smell of amazing food drifting past us in the breeze. Walking traffic was slow in the mornings allowing me to paint and draw both days. Then when the afternoons came so did the people ready to enjoy what we had to offer. Thank you all for a successful weekend.

Summers End
As summer is coming to an end I'm revving up my production of paintings. I've have enjoyed great success with sales of originals and need to create more for upcoming shows. So I hope you enjoy watching these next few paintings progress from drawing on canvas to completed paintings. I'm also busy making prints, art blocks and art pendants that I sell on etsy (staceyfabre.etsy.com). I will be at Oak Alley Plantation Arts and Crafts Festival - October 15-16, 2011, Southdown Plantation Marketplace - November 5, 2011, and Destrahan Plantation Festival Nov. 12-13, 2011.
So as you can see I'm ambitious and I'm loving pursuing my passion to make it in this world as an artist. Thank you for taking the time to look at my work.
